Measurement Instructions   PLEASE READ

WAIST A-A Is around your mid-section just above your pants waistband. Round down your measurement to nearest 1/2 inch. This is your actual measurement. Be snug with tape but Not Tight.
CROTCH A-B  Taken from small of back to the height of the waist you desire, thru legs up to naval area, where  you want the pants to rise.   Leave little slack between leg area. If you want pants to ride higher than your current slacks, Comp styles are for you.  For wider waistband  check high waist in options.
HIP C-C This measurement is around the center of your buttocks area, the largest part of your hips. Stand Straight with legs together.  Measure Snug but not tight. We add +1 inch for comfort.
LEG  D-D  This measurement is around your thigh area, mid-point between knee, and hips. The pants are designed to have extra leg room than regular slacks to allow more leg movement without being baggy. Hem is slightly wider to cover front laces and heel in back.  Shoe size is important for correct hem width.
LENGTH A-E  This measurement is total length. Be sure to have Dance Shoes on. Measure yourself from where you want pants to come up on waist to floor area minus 1/2 inch. This is taken at the side of your leg down thru center of Dance Shoe. For solo, stand next to wall, mark upper waist & measure floor to mark minus 1/2 inch.
Double check this figure with your best fitting pants. Fold Pants as to iron legs.
Measure total length from top of waist-band down center leg to end of pant leg.
(Add 1/2" this should=E) better to error on the long side.   Pants are easily altered up. But can only add 1 inch

OPTIONS: Double Pleats or Form Fit ?
The double pleated pants look very stylish. The 1/2 pleats in front give a more relaxed fit, with more room in front. This style is very nice for smooth dancing, and hides slight weight gains. Form fit is the same as above but without pleats. The pants are more revealing, but not tight. This style is perfect for Latin dancing and Cuban motion. This style is preferred by those with a slender figure, and those that want High Waist design. This is also our most popular.

Latin Basic or Comp?
Latin Basic is intended for social dancing, practice, and conservative look. They rise about where your current pants do.  Inner waistband, no-show design outside.

Latin Comps have a 2 1/2 waistband that rises about +1 inch higher than regular slacks. Our most popular style and intended for instructors, competitors, and showcases.

Ultra Comps are same as above, but add an optional v-cut front and or side trim to outside seam.  The trimming comes in black, gold and silver and is 1/2 inch embroidered . Ask for samples.

The inner Key Pouch is a small unnoticeable place to put a Key, ID or Money.
Because DancePants do not have pockets, if you need to carry small items, be sure to select the pouch option.

The inner Leg Lining is an option for those that want a smooth silky feel inside. The pants feel great, and allow for a quicker response of the material for a non-wrinkle look.
Expensive pants always include lining.
Depending on the style of shoe you wear, the pant hem is designed to match. For smooth dancing, and regular 1/2 heels, choose Regular Hem. For those who wear 1 1/2 Latin Heels choose Latin Hem. This hem is longer in the back to cover the heel without bunching up on the front of the shoe.

Foot Straps are for those who are generally in competition and rhythm dancing, and need extra control of the pant leg to keep it down over the shoe. The 1/4" elastic strap is sewn to the bottom of the pant leg, to be worn over the mid section of shoe, does not show, and slightly pulls down leg material.

High Waist is designed for those who want to have their pants come up 1-2 inches higher than their normal slacks would. Be sure to check this option. This design is best suited for tall, slender figures.

Material Choice?  Our most popular is black poly Crepe. It is non wrinkle, machine washable, and easy to care for.
